When AFM home target server has a problem which cause NFS mount hung at AFM gateway, the gateway may run out of memory due to lots of hung NFS mounts.

This problem is fixed in 5.1.3 PTF 1 To see all Spectrum Scale APARs and their respective fix solutions refer to page https://public.dhe.ibm.com/storage/spectrumscale/spectrum_scale apars.html Benefits of the solution: Killed old existing nfsmount process before executing the mount process in the AFM relationship. Work around: None Problem trigger: Gateway node is getting more memory consumption on the nfsmount due to existing multiple mount points of the fileset. Symptom: Too much Memory consumption on the NFS mount point. Platforms affected: All Linux OS environments Functional Area affected: AFM-DR Customer Impact: low
