PH45159: MEMORY SHORTAGE WHEN UNLOADING A LARGE AMOUNT OF LOB DATA IN NATIVE MODE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A logical unload run in native mode and involving LOB data
  exhaust the LPAR memory resources. This can cause an Auxiliary
  Storage Shortage.
  The more LOB data is involved, the more likely the issue.
  Therefore, Unload involving a very large number of LOBs or very
  big LOBs is more prone to cause the memory shortage.
  

Local fix

• consider running the unload in SQL mode by specifying the DB2
  FORCE option but be aware that this might drastically affect the
  performance of the unload.
