Grey Scale in OnDemand Internet Client

Question & Answer

Question

Changing the Grey Scale setting in the OnDemand Internet Client

Answer

The OnDemand desktop client view of a document
(a TIFF check image) is easier to read than the Internet Client view.
We found that in Netscape we can open the taskbar
"View" and select "Scale to Gray" and the image then looks as good as the
Desktop client view. In IE there is an icon for gray scale.

Instructions for setting a default "Scale to grey"
setting in IE that will update the viewer registry entry to make
"dark" the default setting for IE and netscape.
When viewing an image there is an icon for "Toggle the scale to grey
setting" Set this to the best image. Then open the icon for "Save and
restore the settings" . Give the new setting a name, and
set it as default and save this. We are now set. This will add a new
registry entry with the saved name under:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IBM\OnDemand Image Plugin".
The registry entry can be exported to every machine that needs it.
