Summary
Use the five "Action" options to manage the events shown on the System Console.
Steps
From the IBM Cloud Pak System Console, click Problem determination > Events. Look at the action column for each Event. There are five icons.
Show event or Hide event icons
Click the Show event or Hide event icon to show or hide events.
- From the dialog box that displays, select the appropriate option to show or hide all the events or only the selected or filtered events.
- If you hide an event, it is hidden for all users.
- If the Event is still occurring and the count is updated for a hidden event, the event remains hidden. Use the "Views" pull-down to filter Hidden Events.
Close icon
Click the Close icon to close an open event status. This option closes the Event. If the same problem occurs again, a new Event is created by the system. Use the "Views" pull-down to filter Closed and Open Events.
Delete icon
Click the Delete icon to delete an event. The Event is removed from the system and cannot be recovered. If the same problem occurs again, a new Event is created by the system.
Comments icon
Click the Comments icon to add a comment to an event. Use this icon to save notes or information you want to reference for this Event.
Show Details icon
Click this icon to see more details about this event.
