Software planning

The following products and functions are not supported on IBM i 7.5.  Plans should be made to replace or discontinue use of these products and functions prior to upgrading to IBM i 7.5.  Please review prior release planning pages, as appropriate, for products/functions not supported in those releases that will also not be supported on IBM i 7.5.

IBM Domino 10 for i

5733-D10

This product is no longer owned by IBM. Clients should order the replacement HCL Domino product.

Zend Server

5639-ZC1

IBM no longer delivers Zend Server Basic edition with the IBM i operating system (5770-SS1), and support is no longer available. Clients who wish to continue using Zend Server can acquire the software, licensing, and support directly from Zend by Perforce. Clients who wish to use the open source Community PHP may acquire an Open Source Support contract from IBM (http://ibm.biz/ibmi-oss-support). 

IBM Managed System Services for i

IBM System Manager for i
5770-MG1
5770-SM1

These products are no longer available. A subset of the commands from 5770-SM1 are available in the operating system. See the Memo to users for additional information

Java SE 7/7.1 32 bit and 64 bit

 5770-JV1 options 14 and 15

Java 7 is superseded by Java 8 (options 16 and 17).

IBM XML Toolkit for i

 5733-XT2 5733-XT2 and all options are no longer available. Among the replacement products for XML Toolkit for i are IBM Db2 for i support for XML, noxDB,  and eXpat. Other companies may also offer function which replaces XML Toolkit for i.

Web Enablement for i

 5722-WE2 This product can no longer be ordered. It is replaced by 5733-WE3.

Db2 Web Query

 5733-WQX This product can no longer be ordered.  See the Memo to users for more information.

Integrated Server Support

5770-SS1 option 29

The IBM i Integrated Server solution is no longer available.
