To improve Cognos Analytics environment performance and to avoid Cognos environment slow startup issues suggestion is to include cleanup of the Cognos environment temporary files and java work directories as a part of the Cognos Analytics environment maintenance procedure.
In addition, to prevent issues related to running scheduled reports, like for example scheduled reports stuck in pending status, or for example large number of scheduled reports queueing to run at cognos environment startup, suggestion is to include cleanup of Cognos NC tables as a part of the Cognos Analytics environment maintenance procedure.
