Abstract
This guide describes how to install and configure the Data ONTAP® SMI-S (Storage Management Initiative Specification) Agent on a Linux® or Windows® host or as a guest operating system on a VMware® ESX or Windows Server Hyper-V virtualization system. The Data ONTAP SMI-S Agent is an industry-standard, command-based interface that detects and manages IBM® System Storage™ N series storage systems.
