To obtain product PTFs, you can order it via Shopz or contact your IBM representative to place the order for you.
To order PTFs from Shopz, enter the customer number that you use to manage software. All IBM customers have at least one customer number. Multiple customer numbers are frequently used to manage software on different systems. If you don't have a customer number, contact your IBM representative or get connected with a representative here.
Steps to order product PTFs in Shopz:
After you log in to Shopz, go to My orders, click Create new order, and use the following selections to obtain PTFs:
- Select the radio button for z/OS - Service.
- Select Individual PTFs in the drop-down list of z/OS - Service. Press Continue.
- Select Individual PTFs by PTF number or Individual PTFs by APAR number in the Package type field.
This gives you an option to order PTFs by PTF numbers or APAR numbers. Press Continue.
- Select Do not use a report for this order. Press Continue.
- Enter PTFs that you want to order or APARs that you want the PTFs for. This depends on the package type you selected. PTF numbers are in the format of UIxxxxx. APAR numbers are in the format of PHxxxxx.
- Select Include requisite service. Press Continue.
- Select Internet or DVD (4.7 GB) in the drop-down list of Preferred media. Fill in Shipping address if DVD (4.7 GB) is selected.
- Select I am placing this order for myself. The GDPR notification will be contained in the order confirmation email if you place the order for yourself. Otherwise, select I am placing the order for others, please send the GDPR notification email to and fill in the email address. Press Continue.
- Review your order and make any necessary adjustments. Press Submit.
Once you submit the order, it gets processed by IBM. Once the order completes, you can download the PTFs you requested.
