Troubleshooting
Problem
When the Tivoli Monitoring Agent for Linux OS is installed with 6.30 FP7 Service Pack 7 (or later) and the agent is running on an SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 12 (starting with SP2), the agent can show high CPU when monitoring the Linux File attribute group or no data for the Linux Disk attribute group.
Symptom
The following symptoms can be seen when the condition occurs:
- The Tivoli Monitoring for Linux OS agent has high CPU when collecting data for the Linux File attribute group.
- The RAS1 log file, <hostname>_lz_klzagent_<timestamp>.log, shows the following pthread_create with "Resource temporarily unavailable" message over and over:
(61F3C192.019D-9:klz20agt.cpp,1424,"executeSystemCallInSeparateThread") WARNING: pthread_create failed with error code 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable)
- No data is collected for the Linux File or Disk attribute groups (along with the message above).
- In the system dmesg, the following message might be seen:
