Incorrect database related warnings reported after applying IBM InfoSphere Information Server Fix pack 2 or Fix Pack 3

Troubleshooting

Problem

After IBM InfoSphere Information Server Fix pack 2 or Fix Pack 3 is applied, Db2 related warnings are reported in an installation that uses Oracle© or Microsoft SQL Server as the repository.

Symptom

No functional issues are observed.
However, even though Oracle© or SQL Server is used as the repository in an installation, Db2 related warning messages are logged in SystemOut.log.

For example,

[1/7/22 9:23:51:360 CET] 000000ec DSConfigHelpe W DSRA8200W: DataSource Configuration: DSRA8020E: Warning: The property 'useJDBC4DataType' does not exist on the DataSource class com.ibm.isf.jdbcx.oracle.OracleDataSource. [1/7/22 9:23:51:360 CET] 000000ec DSConfigHelpe W DSRA8200W: DataSource Configuration: DSRA8020E: Warning: The property 'useJDBC4ColumnNameAndLabelSemantics' does not exist on the DataSource class com.ibm.isf.jdbcx.oracle.OracleDataSource.

Similarly, execution of "Test connection" in the WebSphere Application Server Administration console, displays a warning message:

The test connection operation for data source ASB JDBC DataSource on server XXXXX at node XXXXXXXXX was successful with 2 warning(s). View JVM logs for further details.
