APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • User creates on-demand backup request or scheduled backup
    request from the command line and specifies inactive SLA policy
    that is currently in HELD state in SPP server.
    BaasReq object displays 'Invalid' backup status and error
    message 'tuple indices must be integers or slices, not strerror"
    This error might also occur in other scenarios when controller
    can not interpret SPP API error returned by transaction-manager.

Local fix

  • If error message in BaasReq object is not clear, find relevant
    error messages in controller and/or transaction-manager logs.

Problem conclusion

  • Code changes were made to return relevant error from
    transaction-manager to controller and update Container Backup
