Error description

• The Monitoring Agent for Windows OS reports the incorrect value
  for the Operating System Type attribute.
  Windows 11 is reported as Windows_10 instead of Windows_11
  Windows 2022 is reported as Windows_2016 instead of Windows_2022
  
  
  The version number is now obtained from the Caption value from
  the WMI Win32_OperatingSystem.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Windows 11 and Windows 2022 reported incorrectly for Operating
  System Type attribute.
  
  
  The Monitoring Agent for Windows OS reports the incorrect value
  for the Operating System Type attribute on Windows 11 and
  Windows 2022 systems.  Windows 11 is reported as Windows_10
  instead of Windows_11 and Windows 2022 is reported as
  Windows_2016 instead of Windows_2022.   This attribute is part
  of the System attribute group and can be seen in the System
  Overview workspace.
  

Problem conclusion

• The version number used to be determined only from the registry,
   but this required the code to be changed each release.   Now
  the version number is obtained from the Caption value from the
  WMI Win32_OperatingSystem.
  
  
  The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
  packages:
