Before you begin
- Ensure you have IBM RPA 11.0.0.10 installed. If you're upgrading from an earlier version, first upgrade your installation to IBM RPA 11.0.0.10 and then apply this interim fix.
- To upgrade earlier versions of IBM RPA to 11.0.0.10, see Upgrading Control Room in the product documentation.
- To download and install 11.0.0.10, see:
- Review the pre-upgrade checklist in the Automation Anywhere documentation and complete the steps that apply to your environment. In addition, Elasticsearch credentials are now required for Control Room installations. If you don't already have an Elasticsearch password and certificate stored in the database or your password is not current, add the ESPASSWD parameter and password to the response file in the interim fix package (responseFile\response.properties). You will need to install the interim fix silently using this response file.
Downloading the interim fix
The cumulative fix is available for download from IBM Support Fix Central. The fix contains separate upgrade packages for IBM RPA Control Room and IBM RPA clients.

- Follow the installation wizard and when it prompts you, provide the required elastic search password and/or the service credential password.
Upgrading Control Room Silently
- Go to the directory that contains the extracted upgrade package and update the following sample response file: extract_directory\responsefile\response.properties
- Specify the elastic search password, which must be the same as the one you used during the 11.0.0.10 installation.
- Specify the service credential password if the 11.0.010 installation is using a service credential for Control Room services.
- Run the following command in admin mode:
upgradeControlRoom.bat -response extract_directory\responsefile\response.properties
