Virtual machine is not registered to the Red Hat Satellite Server / "Invalid Host name" error in logs

Troubleshooting


Problem

A new Red Hat Satellite Server V6.7 instance was deployed and the Shared Service: Red Hat Satellite Six Service (External) 6.0 instance was created, by using the steps in this documentation

Symptom

When a new virtual system instance is deployed, the virtual machine is not registered in the satellite server.  In the RHUSClient middleware role trace.log for the instance, we have this message:
