Abstract
This guide describes how to install and use the Open Systems SnapVault® (OSSV) 3.0.1 software on Windows®, UNIX®, and Linux® platforms. OSSV is a disk-to-disk data protection solution that takes advantage of the SnapVault technology to protect data residing on the aforementioned platforms. This guide does not cover basic system or network administration topics; it emphasizes the characteristics of the OSSV product and how it is used with IBM® System Storage™ N series storage systems running Data ONTAP®.
