PH42493: S0C4 ABEND WHEN SIGNOFF ETOS

Error description

• IMS ETOS will be abended S0C4 when the following conditions are
  met:
  1. Auto /TEST MFS feature is enabled.
  2. /TEST MFS mode is unavailable for a terminal that signed on.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Signoff attempts cause S0C4 ABEND if    *
  *                      all of the following conditions meet,   *
  *                      * An IMS ETO Support functionality,     *
  *                        Auto /TEST MFS, is enabled for an     *
  *                        IMS                                   *
  *                      * A terminal used for signon does not   *
  *                        support an IMS functionality, /TEST   *
  *                        MFS                                   *
  *                                                              *
  *                      When all of the above conditions are    *
  *                      met, an IMS signon exit routine         *
  *                      provided by IMS ETO Support enters PSW  *
  *                      Key 0 state, however, does not back to  *
  *                      the original PSW Key state. It causes   *
  *                      that the signon exit routine allocates  *
  *                      storage with Key 0, then, S0C4 abend    *
  *                      occurs when an IMS signoff exit         *
  *                      routine provided by IMS ETO Support     *
  *                      tries to free the storage.              *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
  ****************************************************************
  S0C4 ABEND in IMS ETO Support Modules IZTSGFXx
  (e.g. IZTSGFXE, IZTSGFXF) when signoff.
  

Problem conclusion

• An IMS signon exit routine provided by IMS ETO Support,
  IZTSGNXZ, has been modified to go back to the original PSW Key
  state after entering PSW Key 0 state.
