Error description

  • The AGE parameter (in ISPF UI, it's called the Get old msgs
option) is used as a filter for processing messages selected by
length of time of the oldest message on a queue. The time unit
for this filter is in days (a whole number and 24 hour
    periods).
Additional precision is required for QCF QUERY/BROWSE/UNLOAD
    functions.

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
Today finest granularity for the AGE parameter is day.
Smallest unit minute instead of day would be required.
The customer's normal IMS message Queue Status is empty due to
daily housekeeping QCF Job in the night.
If the customer comes across a problem within the day, he would
like to have the Chance to remove specific part of the Queue by
specifying AGE=xx min and unload/delete Messages that are older
    than xx minutes.
Today the customer can only specify AGE=0 which removes ALL
Messages from the Queue, even the ones which would vanish by
    normal processing.

This APAR provides a way to specify the AGE parameter in
    seconds.
The customer can specify the AGE parameter in seconds between
    0 and 31536000(365days).
