PH41293: ALT DOES WRONG CONVERSION FOR ZERO INTEGER TO CHAR(35)

Error description

• When using the ALT function in ADB to change attribute DISPNR
  from INTEGER to CHAR(35) , all values in that field that contain
  integer 0 are converted to CHAR "+000000000000000" instead of
  CHAR "0".

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Changing a column attribute from        *
  *                      integer to CHAR by using the ALT        *
  *                      function causes the conversion of       *
  *                      integer 0 to CHAR string                *
  *                      '+00000000000000' in the table.         *
  *                      Also, an ONCODE error is returned       *
  *                      when a maximum negative integer is      *
  *                      converted.                              *

  When using ALT to change a column from integer to CHAR, the
  integer value 0 is converted to '+0000000000000000'
  instead of the expected '0'.  If the integer value is a maximum
  negative number, the following ONCODE error message is returned:
  ONCODE=150  The STRINGSIZE condition was raised.
  from entry point CONVERT_UNLOAD.
  
  These errors occur for the following four conversions:
  INTEGER -> CHAR
  INTEGER -> VARCHAR
  SMALLINT -> CHAR
  SMALLINT -> VARCHAR
