IBM App Connect Enterprise certified container: Deprecation of cloud-managed connectors in App Connect Designer and integration servers

General Page

This document announces the deprecation of cloud-managed connectors in App Connect Designer and integration server deployments in the App Connect containerized environment.
When creating a Designer Authoring or Integration Server instance from an App Connect Operator deployment, users can enable the use of local connectors only, or enable both local and cloud-managed connectors to run integrations in Designer flows.  A spec.designerFlowsOperationMode custom resource (CR) setting provides this capability.
The option to enable both local and cloud-managed connectors (using spec.designerFlowsOperationMode=all) is deprecated in the App Connect Operator 3.0.0 release/operand version 12.0.2.0-r2. This option will be removed in a subsequent release and will not be supported by later operand versions. Only local connectors will then be supported. Existing flows or integration servers that connect to accounts in App Connect on IBM Cloud will need to be updated to use local accounts.
