AT-FCX.3800.SFW
  • Disk Shelf Firmware rev: 38
  • Problems fixed in this release include:
    1. SCSI predictive failure errors were not reported after the drive's SMART attributes exceeded failure thresholds.
    2. AT-FCX firmware sends an identify device to a drive, but gets bad/corrupted data in return. It will keep retrying the command and get 04/44/03 errors indefinitely.
    3. Mode select 6 to caching page returns incorrect residual value. This leads to transport errors on Data ONTAP, and having enough of these can lead to failed drives.
    4. All the drives are clean, but the firmware reports 03/15/1 sense code, which is media errors. The system fails the drives in this scenario. This leads to MDP if multiple drives in the volume fail with these errors.
    5. Several drives were failed out by Data ONTAP due to invalid WWNs.
    6. AT-FCX firmware version 38 supports nondisruptive recovery (NDR) when a new high-efficiency (HE) power supply is released.

ESH2.2002.SFW
  • Disk Shelf Firmware rev: 20
  • Problems fixed in this release include:
    1. ESH ASIC FATAL Error seen on I/o module can lead to loop failure or MDP.
    2. Excessive and rapidly climbing Loop Up Counts - F5's in diagnostic logdump data.
    3. Continual Loop up/down messages in EMS & storage show hub reports rapidly climbing Loop Up Counts.

ESH4.1400.SFW (March 26, 2010)
  • Disk Shelf Firmware rev: 14
  • Problems fixed in this release include:
    1. Firmware rev: ESH4 I/O Modules running at 1GB during a shelf FW update, may occasionally see disks "Bypassed due to comma loss of signal".
    2. There is a problem in the power control polling in the ESH4 which will report incorrectly a power control fault on the module.
    3. Rare I2c fault after PFU/shelf reset can cause OPS panel unrecoverable or temperature sensor of slave module to report not installed or failed,
