Problem summary
On some Linux PPC LE machines the java launcher is loaded by default around 0x100000000, fragmenting the address space and restricting the maximum size of the compressed references object heap. It also prevents use of the option -Xpreferredheapbase=0x100000000
Problem conclusion
The java launcher is configured to load at 0x60000. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR7 (8.0.7.0) .
