Error description

  • Unstructured job fails with "org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException:
    error: Content is not allowed in trailing section." after
    upgrading to xmlbeans-3.0.0
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Job reading an excel file with NOTE/Comments in a cell fails
    with following exception Caused by:
    org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Content is not allowed in
    trailing section.
    

Problem conclusion

  • 11.7.1.1 SP2 is upgraded with xmlbeans 3.0.0. The exception is
    regression with combination of POI 3.14 and xmlbeans 3.0.0 while
    it is not seen with xmlbeans 2.6.0. ie., prior to 11.7.1.1 SP2
