Summary
IBM i2 iBase 9.0.4 allows an ineligible user to view a Security Classification Code (SCC) restricted record by using the iBase Link Chart or the Analyst's Notebook Expand features.
Solution: upgrade to iBase 9.0.5
Environment
iBase 9.0.4 and prior iBase 9.x versions
Steps
In the iBase Security Manager Data Access Control Group, a user has an SCC restriction.
A record in iBase has a restriction based on the SCC. In this example, the record GRAZ REZ has a "NORTHAMERICA" SCC and cannot be seen.
The user is unable to see this record directly.
The user knowingly or unknowingly selects an available record that has a link to the restricted record (LESTER Mesin). The user runs the iBase Link Chart or the Analyst's Notebook Expand and can now view the restricted record and all its associated details.
To resolve this issue, download and install iBase v9.0.5.
