Error description

  • Cluster Verification fails with an error message like --

/usr/es/sbin/cluster/utilities/clvt_kshHandler[2044]:

  Memory fault(coredump)

The error log will show a CORE_DUMP by clver in malloc
with a stacktrace similar to this --

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Cluster verification fails with coredump on PowerVS
environment. This issue is observable when we have different
number of interfaces or adapters configured in each cluster
node.

Problem conclusion

  • Modified PowerHA code to fix this issue.
