Abstract
The platform manager certificates expire on 8 January 2022 on the IIAS and Cloud Pak for Data System. If the certificate is expired running 'ap' commands will fail with "Management service is not running on node localhost." The nodes may also become disabled and cause the application to go DOWN.
The steps below will walk through generating new certificates and recovering any disabled nodes on IIAS or CPDS.
After the patch is successfully applied, the certificates expiration date is extended to 100 years. Updated certificates are provided on Fix Central along with a script that does not require an outage to run and apply. The processes described below address the callHome certificates set to expire June 2022.

For Cloud Pak for Data Systems running 1.0.x.x the following describes the action, walks through the script and links to the download location on Fix Central. Only the platform manager is stopped by the script, the application remains online for users.
