Troubleshooting
Problem
We recently migrated our upsized database, and I want to open my database in iBase Designer.
I'm able to successfully Log in, by connecting to my .ids security file.
When I click "File-->Open Database", nothing happens. I am still connected to the .ids file, and I can click "File-->Open Database" again and again, but it never actually connects me to my database. No error is thrown.
Cause
If the userid you're using to connect to SQL Server does is not mapped as a user for the backend SQL Server database, you see this symptom.
Diagnosing The Problem
Run the iBase Database Configuration Tool.
Make a note of the Login Name used in the second pane.

As SQL Server Administrator, review your SQL Server
Resolving The Problem
Make sure that the SQL Server user has been mapped with minimally Public access privileges to the SQL Server database.
