Problem
I am using i2 Analyst's Notebook, with a data source connection to my iBase database.
I'm trying to create a link between two entities, but the "New Link" option is grayed out. Why is it disabled?
Symptom
Two entities on my chart, and "New Link" is unavailable as shown below.
Resolving The Problem
In order for the "New Link" option to be enabled in the Data Sources pane, ensure that all the following are true.
- Exactly two entities should be selected on the chart, highlighted as shown below with blue outline
- The entities must be iBase database entities, not entities inserted from the Palette
- There must be at least one valid link type defined in your database between the two entity types
