JR45438: DBCS QUERY STRING IS BROKEN WHEN A CUSTOM QUERY IS SAVE WITH "PUBLISH QUERY" OPTION.

 

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • 1. Login Metadata Workbench
2. Select new query
3. Asset type: Stage, Properties: Name, Stage Name
4. Condition: Stage Type - Name is a DBCS string
5. Press "Save"
6. Type the query name, check "publish qeury", and press "Save",
then "OK"
7. Press "Manage"
8. Choose the query name and press "Edit"
9. The DBCS string is broken.

Local fix

  • Uncheck "publish query" when saving

Problem summary

  • DBCS query string is broken when a custom query is saved with
"publish query" option.

Problem conclusion

  • Applying the patch  rollup_RU4_MWB_all_8700-2 will resolve the
issue.
