Error description
Translate messages in the SEVERE trace points. The current code has the messages like these, . logger.logp(Level.SEVERE, CLASS_NAME, "handleRequest", "Web.Group.VHost.Not.Found", new Object[] { truncateURI(req.getRequestURI()) }); . logger.logp(Level.SEVERE, CLASS_NAME, "handleRequest", "Engine.Exception.[{0}]", args); . logger.logp(Level.SEVERE, CLASS_NAME, "handleRequest", "preInvoke.Security.Exception.", args); . logger.logp(Level.SEVERE, CLASS_NAME, "handleRequest", "Engine.Exception.[{0}]", args); . But these messages have to be translated.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server Liberty Profile version 8.5.5 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: For certain Webcontainer errors the key * * to the translated error message is * * printed in the logs. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** For certain WebContainer error messages the key identifying the translated message is being written as an error message instead of the actual message itself. For example: com.ibm.ws.webcontainer E Servlet.has.become.temporarily.unavailable.for.service "Servlet.has.become.temporarily.unavailable.for.service" is they key to the translated message, not the actual message.
Problem conclusion
The WebContainer code was modified to write out the correct translated messages. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.4. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
