Error description

• exception handling mechanism to prevent instances of
  deadlock where the signal handler becomes blocked
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• A mechanism is needed that,
  when mmfsd takes on a fatal signal
  (sigsegv, etc), the signal handler
  can either complete in finite
  time, or the daemon needs to
  be forcibly terminated. Lack
  of such a mechanism can result in a deadlock.
  

Problem conclusion

• This problem is fixed in 5.0.5  PTF 11
