Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IMS Sysplex manager. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IMS logger Exit routine of Sysplex * * Manager (GJEIFLGF) can cause ABEND0C4 * * in MRTRCHKX during IMS shutdown. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF that corrects this APAR. * **************************************************************** IMS logger Exit routine of Sysplex Manager (GJEIFLGF) called DFSMRTR0 to issue a GJE2004I message during the IMS shutdown process. DFSMRTR0 treated a field at offset 0 in caller's save area as SAP address (Save Area Prefix address), but because Sysplex Manager obtained the save area with STORAGE OBTAIN without initializing it, the value of that field was indefinite improper value. This caused ABENDS0C4 in MRTRCHKX.
Problem conclusion
GJEIFLGF and GJEIIPMF have been modified to initialize for the work areas including save areas obtained by STORAGE OBTAIN.
