Db2 : Running the installfixpack command may fail with ETXTBSY (26) errors from db2chgpath

Troubleshooting


Problem

Attempts to run installfixpack might fail with error messages "error: 26(Text file busy)" from db2chgpath.

Symptom

In install.log, you will see the error message as:

Checking /tmp/db2chgpath.log.xxxxxxx you would see error messages "error: 26(Text file busy)" returned for running db2chgpath on some libraries as:
