SE76229: RDI 9.6.0.11 OPENS EDITOR IN EDIT MODE WHEN IT SHOULD BE BROWSE MODE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When editing source in Rational Developer for i (RDI) 9.6.0.11,
  and opening the Remote Systems LPEX editor on a source file
  member expecting it to open in  browse-only mode, it instead
  incorrectly opens in edit mode.
  
  This has been reported as occurring when the "Open source in
  browse mode" preference is selected on the Preference page
  Remote Systems>IBM i>Objects Subsystem.  One way to cause the
  issue is to double-click on a message line in the Error List
  view to open a browser view on the remote source member; but
  other scenarios are possible where this can occur.
  

Local fix

• If this occurs, use CTRL+SHIFT+G to toggle the editor to browse
  mode.

Problem conclusion
