IBM i2 iBase - Having a Tabulation character in a Code List pick list

Troubleshooting

Problem

It is possible to create a pick list value in iBase that consists of a Tabulation.
It could be like this "1.<tab>some text"
iBase accepts this value. And you can also create (or modify) a record, and use this "Tab" value for the pick list.
But if you then want to change the value of this Code List in iBase User or Designer, the following error message is displayed:
"Invalid procedure call or argument"
It is also not possible to delete this "Tab" value from the list of available values for the pick list.

Cause

The presence of the Tab value in a pick list is not expected...

Resolving The Problem

When you have the window with the list of values for the pick list, close it.
You then are on the window that shows again the pick list values.

Right-click the element (that holds the Tab value), and select Delete the value.
The empty value is now deleted from the pick list.
