Release Notes
Abstract
When MaaS360 runs on Android 12, there will be behavior changes that impact some of the features in the MaaS360 app.
Content
-
Passcode policy changes for Work Profile devices - Profile Owner (PO) devices require a passcode to be set in terms of complexity. MaaS360 adds a new policy setting Minimum Passcode Complexity that can be used to set device-wide and Work profile password restrictions in the form of predefined complexity buckets (High, Medium, Low, and None). For more information, see https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/maas360?topic=cpsaed-passcode. Note: Administrators can track the passcode policy that is applied to the device in the Devices > Summary > Security & Compliance > Passcode Settings.
- Platform Serial Number - The MaaS360 for Android app no longer reports the Platform Serial Number to the MaaS360 portal for the Work Profile devices. MaaS360 displays a blank value against the Platform Serial Number field in the Device Summary > Hardware Inventory page.
- IMEI Number - The MaaS360 for Android app no longer reports the IMEI number to the MaaS360 portal for the Work Profile (PO) and Work Profile on Corporate Owned (WPCO) devices.
-
Widgets UI – The app widgets will have rounded corners as opposed to sharp corners.
-
Microphone and Camera Sensors – When the MaaS360 for Android app accesses the microphone or camera, the corresponding icon appears in the status bar.
