IBM Maximo MRO Inventory Optimization - Bulk Edit from File - What are business Keys?

Question & Answer

Question

What are business keys for Bulk Edit from File

Answer

Business Keys are the columns that MRO IO uses to identify a unique row in the system.
Each row in the file used for Bulk Edit from File must match only one item.
Columns used for Business keys are:
DIVISION
DISTRICT_CD
STORE
STOCK_CD
COND_CD
PLNG_AREA
Column names listed are standard in MRO IO. Names shown in the application might vary depending on the specific configuration.
Example:
Company Code
Plant
Storage Location
Material Number
Condition Code
Planning Area
Important Note-
It is not mandatory to provide business keys in the file, but the system will still use them to match an existing record. Any missing business keys are treated as an empty value. An entry in the file must match only one existing record in the system, otherwise it is ignored completely.
