QRadar: Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) for older versions of QRadar

Question & Answer

Question

How can I get Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) for an older version of QRadar®?

Answer

On the AWS Marketplace, only the AMIs for QRadar v7.4.1 are available:
7.4.1 is a relatively newer version of QRadar and is based on RHEL 7.7 that has fixes for multiple known vulnerabilities. If required, clients can use these 7.4.1 AMIs and upgrade to later versions like 7.4.2 and 7.4.3.
Due to security reasons, AMIs for older versions of QRadar are not present on the AWS Marketplace.

In specific scenarios, where the rest of your deployment is on an older version like QRadar 7.3.2 and you are unable to upgrade immediately, you can request for the QRadar 7.3.2 AMI (those AMIs can be upgraded to 7.3.3 as well if required). Such a request needs to be made through a support ticket with a clear business justification and the AWS Account Number.
IMPORTANT: There are vulnerabilities associated with the older versions of IBM QRadar and hence we would recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of IBM QRadar as soon as possible.
