Error description

  • New function - A new exit routine, BKREDMIF EXEC (BKR External
Directory Manager InterFace), has been added. A
supported version of BKREDMIF EXEC is supplied in
              compiled REXX form.
    .
This function is disabled by default.
    .
Customers may choose to enable this function by
              adding "BKR_External_DirManager_Enabled = 1" to
              BKRSYSTM CONFIG.
    .
When enabled, if backup worker service virtual
machines (BKRWRKnn) attempt to RESTORE a minidisk
backup to the original ownerid and vdev, and that
target minidisk no longer exists, then BKRWRKnn
will attempt to recreate the target minidisk.
As supplied, BKREDMIF EXEC will attempt to interact
with z/VM DIRMAINT to recreate the target MDISK.
    .
Refer to new content in "IBM Backup and Restore
Manager for z/VM - Administration Guide",
Appendix B, heading "BKREDMIF exit" for details
of BKREDMIF invocation and operational specs,
              and recommended DIRMAINT configuration adjustments.
    .
    .
New Function - Various sample files updated
    .
This set of changes updates SAMPDIR (sample CP
Directory entries), SAMPEXEC (sample EXEC files), and
TEMPSAMP (sample job template) files for consistent
formatting and currently supported releases of z/VM.
    .
