What is the support schedule for the Content Platform Engine and IBM Content Navigator releases?
Answer
Content Platform Engine and IBM Content Navigator both follow the Continuous Delivery Support Model, which is described in the following technote: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/738757
IBM has discontinued ECM Continuing Support, see https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/continuing-support-enterprise-content-management-ecm-products for more detail and a summary of the support options available for products covered by Continuing Support after its discontinuance on 30 June 2024.
ECM Continuing Support is being replaced with updated Extended Support options for the December 2023 releases as announced here: https://community.ibm.com/community/user/automation/blogs/euniq-nebo/2023/11/03/announcement-ibm-filenet-content-manager-5512-and?CommunityKey=2b67f465-a5fe-4a66-ad25-f5e767b607e3. The following table shows the key support dates for the Content Platform Engine and IBM Content Navigator releases. The acronyms used in the table are spelled out in the Legend table at the end of this document. The term Long Term Support Release (LTSR) is replaced with Initial Extended Support and On-going Extended Support.
The Daeja Virtual viewer is embedded in IBM Content Navigator, as well as released as a stand-alone component. The terminal release of Daeja Professional is 4.1.5.2 IF039. As of IBM Content Navigator 3.0.14 Daeja Professional is no longer embedded in IBM Content Navigator.
Daeja Virtual updates are released regularly and the updates are also made available in IBM Content Navigator updates. The following technote details the Daeja support policy: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6583269
