Error description
An IBM Spectrum Protect for Databases - Data Protection for SQL backup is performed using X stripes. That backup completes successfully. If then a restore is performed using Y stripes and Y is less than X, it will stop with messages similar to: [date] [time] Restore of <DATABASE> failed. [date] [time] An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. [date] [time] The backup or restore was aborted. [date] [time] Read on "TDPSQL-00001A44-0000" failed: 995 (The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.) [date] [time] RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally. [date] [time] Cannot continue the execution because the session is in the kill state. [date] [time] A severe error occurred on the current command. The results, if any, should be discarded. An IBM Spectrum Protect for Databases - Data Protection for SQL trace using the Microsoft Management Console will show in file "fcm_TraceFileSql.trc" [date] [time] [006724] [7932] : restorst.cpp (1016): Consumer thread already exit. Exit the loop[date] [time] [006724] [7932] : restorst.cpp (1098): Exit CRestoreStripe::RUN(), rc = 0, msg = (null) IBM Spectrum Protect Versions Affected: IBM Spectrum Protect for Databases - Data Protection for SQL 8.1.9.1 or later on all supported platforms | MDVREGR 8.1.9.1-TIV_5698DPSAP | Additional Keywords: TS005537722 stripes restore SQL fail
