OA61244: PANEL ISRSVCER SHOWS THE WRONG ERROR INFORMATION WHEN MSGISRD024 IS RECEIVED ON AN EPDF COMMAND.

APAR status

Error description

• Panel ISRSVCER shows the wrong error information when MSGISRD024
  is received on an EPDF command against a GDG dataset that has no
  generations created yet.
  The client issues EPDF 'USER.TEST.GDG(0)'and receives message
  ISRD024,  Request failed.  Help then shows
  Allocation/deallocation failed. Press Help for more information.
  
  Hitting help again brings up panel ISRSVCER.  The variables used
  to show the SVC 99 Return code, Error reason code, and
  Information reason code may contain nulls or values from a prior
  error.  Additionally the TSO error message if displayed is from
  a prior error. The messages also requires scrolling or EXPAND to
  used and the KEYLIST does not provide keys for this.

Problem conclusion

• Panel ISRSVCER (the help panel for message ISRD024 - Request
  failed) has been changed to use new internal system variables
  instead
  of function variables.  This change will ensure that the SVC 99
  error information is available in multiple enviroments when the
  help panel is invoked.  In addition, panel ISRSVCER has been
  modifed to use a new KEYLIST to allow for expansion of the
  scrollable field containing TSO error messages.   Macro/module
  changes have been done to implement the new system variables and
  new KEYLIST table entry ISRSVCK.
