There are multiple vulnerabilities in Apache JSON Small and Fast Parser (json-smart) and Underscore used by IBM Spectrum Symphony. IBM Spectrum Symphony has addressed the applicable CVEs.

DESCRIPTION:   Netplex json-smart-v1 and json-smart-v2 are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an uncaught exception flaw in NumberFormatException. By sending a specially-crafted input, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the library to crash or obtain sensitive information.

CVEID:   CVE-2021-23358
DESCRIPTION:   Node.js underscore module could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a flaw in the template function. By sending a specially-crafted argument using the variable property, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system.
