Abstract

Release Notes for IBM ECM Content Management Interoperability Services 3.0.6

Content

The GM candidate build for CMIS 3.0.6 GA is cmis-installer306.000.060.
General Enhancements and Improvements:
  • The Installer supports collocation (on the same host) of ICN and CMIS.
  • There is improved exception handling. A business specific error is thrown instead of the generic 500 error. 
  • Migration of logging mechanism from Log4j to Java Utility Logging.
  • The signing of Binary files and ESD images.

Security Remediation:
  • There is a security issue in spring-web-4.3.22.release.jar. The security issue number is CVE-2016-1000027. The jar file was upgraded to V5.3.0.
  • There is a security issue in commons-beanutils-1.8.3.jar. The security issue number is CVE-2014-0114 CVE-2019-10086. The jar file was upgraded to V1.9.4.
  • There is a security issue in xalan-2.7.0.jar. The security issue number is CVE-2014-0107. The jar file was upgraded to V2.7.2.

Deprecation of FileNet Collaboration Services (FNCS):
  • Removed the FNCS Component from the CMIS bundle and all the related changes in the UI panels of the Installer and Configuration tool.
Currency:
  • Support for Web Logic14c
  • Support for CPE 5.5.7.0
  • Upgrade of Installer from IA 2018 to IA 2020 SP2
  • Upgrade of Java to jre 8.0.6.26 for Installer
  • Liberty 21.0.0.3 in the container
Known Issue:
The upgrade from CMIS 3.0.5 IF02 and above to CMIS 3.0.6 does not work. A simple workaround is to open the existing profile, in the IBM ECM CMIS and FileNet Collaboration Services Configuration and Development Tool, and run the tasks.
