APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If a new file is created and it is renamed before AFM could
replicate it to the COS, with parallel IO enabled incorrect
target path is sent to the worker gateway node
causing the remote error 2.

Local fix

  • Disable parallel IO.

Problem summary

  • If a new file is created and it is renamed before AFM could
replicate it to the COS, with parallel IO enabled incorrect
target path is sent to the worker gateway node
causing the remote error 2.

Problem conclusion

  • Benefits of the solution:
Fixed the code to send correct target path to the worker
gateway node when parallel IO is
enabled on the object backend.

Work around:
Disable parallel IO.

Problem trigger:
AFM replication with parallel IO enabled.

Unexpected results
