Troubleshooting
Problem
When a backup operation of a virtual machine (VM) is performed, it fails with the following error message:
ANS2696E Control or data files were found to be compressed but not deduplicated for vm "vmname"
The user response given in the documentation for the error ANS2696E doesn't resolve the issue.
