Troubleshooting
Problem
Message CPD37C3 may be seen in DSPLOGBRM.
Cause
In V7R2M0, IBM i OS Save Restore was enhanced by placing an information message into the joblog for each object that has been marked not saveable (by a user or an application):
CPD37C3 - Cannot save /tmp/s.slapd.QUSRDIR.
Cause . . . . . : The ALWSAV attribute on /tmp/s.slapd.QUSRDIR was set to*NO preventing the object from being saved.
Recovery . . . : If the object is not needed for recovery purposes, no recovery is necessary. If the object is needed for recovery purposes, change the ALWSAV attribute to *YES and try the request again.
After you get 1 to xx number of CPD37C3 messages then it posts another informational message:
CPD37C4 - 5 objects not saved.
Cause . . . . . : 5 objects were not saved due to the ALWSAV attribute set
to *NO. A CPD37C3 message was sent for each of those objects. 0 objects
were not saved because the system has indicated they should not be saved.
Recovery . . . : See previously listed CPD37C3 messages. For objects the system has indicated should not be saved, no recovery is necessary. The
objects are either not needed for recovery purposes, or will be recreated by
the system as needed.
Both messages are informational and should not cause the control group to end unsuccessfully.
These messages will also show up in the DSPLOGBRM. If you do not want to see these messages in the DSPLOGBRM, you can use BRMS SQL service QUSRBRM.ADD_BRMS_LOG_OMIT Procedure.
