  *                      If syntax error is found in COPT<ssid>  *
  *                      member during vary command it can cause *
  *                      978-04 abend in OMPE collector          *

  The VARY command to read changed collection options from RKD2PAR
  members (e.g. /f IBMO2,F H2<ssid>,VARY OPTION=COPT<ssid>) is not
  changing the collection specifications when the OMEGAMON Db2
  Near Term History data collector is active, issuing error
  messages and potentially causing ABENDs.
  
  During refresh of COPT<ssid> options, if a syntax error is found
  this can cause the OMPE collector to abend 978-04.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code was updated for the VARY command to work properly.
  
  Code changed to work properly when syntax error is found in
  COPT<ssid> member during VARY command
