IJ32758: NFS MOUNT LINKS NOT COPIED DURING ALT_DISK_COPY APPLIES TO AIX 7200-05

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When alt_disk_copy is created on systems where for
  example there are NFS mount point links:
  
  /etc/filesystems
  /sapmnt/sapfs:
          dev             = "/sapmnt/sapfs"
  
  
   ls -la /sapmnt
  lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     system           15 Apr 11 06:51
  /sapmnt -> /nfsmnt/sapmnt/
  
   ls -la /nfsmnt/sapmnt/
  lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     system           23 Apr 11 11:01
  sapfs -> /nfsmnt/export_hurk/sapfs
  
  Alt_disk does not copy sapfs mount point link.
  

Local fix

• Manually recreate the links.

Problem conclusion

• When checking for the mount points use realpath to resolve any
  mount point links so that they can be saved and copied.
