Abstract

This Interim Fix addresses APARs, security fixes and internally found issues since the release of IBM Tivoli Business Service Manager 6.2.0.3 release.

* Fixes that are included in Interim Fix 2.
    - IJ28520 : TBSM DOES NOT CLEAN UP EXPIRED CUMUL SLA SLAM EVENTS
    - IJ29926 : DEFAULT TBSM ICONS NEED .JSON VERSIONS FOR TOPOLOGY LITE
    - IJ30989 : TBSM AGENT REPORTING INCORRECT DOWNTIME DATA TO ITM/TDW
    - 70718   : rad_radshell reports error: commons-collections-2.1.1.jar: No such file or directory
    - 70831   : Unable to save policy while creating aggregate rule with Impact 7.1.0.18 and later

Prerequisites

* Prerequisites:
          This Interim Fix requires TBSM 6.2.0 FP3 to be already installed
          on the systems. As well as:
        Impact: 7.1.0 FP22
        JazzSM: 1.1.3 FP11
       * Special considerations:
       1) The Impact backend servers and DASH/JazzSM servers need to be
          stopped, prior to installing this Interim Fix.
       2) It might be necessary to clear the browser cache.

Installation Instructions

    Installation, migration, upgrade, and configuration information:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
       * Hardware and software requirements:
          Refer to the TBSM 6.2.0 Release Notes for a full description
          of all the hardware and software requirements.
          To apply this Interim Fix you will need approximately 50 Mb
          of free disk space.

       * Dependencies:
          This Interim Fix must be installed on each server(s) that has
          TBSM (Impact backend) server and TBSM GUI (DASH/JazzSM) server
          installed.
    
       * Prerequisites:
          This Interim Fix requires TBSM 6.2.0 FP3 to be already installed
          on the systems. As well as:
        Impact: 7.1.0 FP22
        JazzSM: 1.1.3 FP11
       * Special considerations:
       1) The Impact backend servers and DASH/JazzSM servers need to be
          stopped, prior to installing this Interim Fix.
       2) It might be necessary to clear the browser cache.

       * Extracting this Interim Fix: Windows and Non-Windows
          1. Unzip the file on each server that you need to install on.
             6.2.0.3-TIV-BSM-IF0002.zip
       * Installing this Interim Fix:
          NOTE: There is no GUI mode for this Interim Fix.
          Install the Interim Fix with the same user that was used to
          install Impact 7.1.0 and TBSM 6.2.0.
       * Install script usage:
        On TBSM Data Server:
           ./install_IF.sh|bat impact_home tbsm_home
           impact_home is the directory where Impact is installed
           tbsm_home is the directory where TBSM is installed
        Example:  ./install_IF.sh /opt/IBM/tivoli/impact /opt/IBM/tivoli/tbsm

        On TBSM Dashboard Server
           ./install_IF.sh|bat jazzsm_home tbsmdash_home
             jazzsm_home is the directory where JazzSM is installed
             tbsmdash_home is the directory where TBSM Dashboard is installed
        Example:  ./install_IF.sh /opt/IBM/JazzSM /opt/IBM/tivoli/tbsmdash
        NOTE: The same applies to the uninstall_IF.* scripts!
     All Impact Backend Servers
     ===================================================
        1.) Stop both the Impact backend server and GUI
        2.) Open a command prompt and change to the directory where the
                files were extracted
        3.) To install Interim Fix 2:
            Run the install_IF.sh or install_IF.bat script
        4.) Start both the Impact backend server and GUI

       All DASH/JazzSM servers
       =======================
         1.) Stop the DASH/JazzSM Server
         2.) Open a command prompt and change to the directory where the
             files were extracted
         3.) To install Interim Fix 2:
             Run the install_IF.sh or install_IF.bat script
         4.) Start the DASH/JazzSM Server
       * Uninstalling this Interim Fix
       Please note: This Interim Fix must be uninstalled on each server(s)
       that is running the Impact backend server with TBSM and DASH/JazzSM
           servers used for TBSM visualization.
       On the All Impact Backend servers
           =================================
        Uninstall the Interim Fix with the same user that was used to
        install TBSM 6.2.0.3 IF2.
        1.) Stop both the Impact backend server and GUI
        2.) Open a command prompt and navigate to the backup directory
            where the files were backed up, by the Interim Fix installer
        3.) Run the uninstall_IF.sh or uninstall_IF.bat script
        4.) Start both the Impact backend server and GUI
    All DASH/JazzSM servers
    =======================
        Uninstall the Interim Fix with the same user that was used to
        install TBSM 6.2.0.3 IF2.
        1.) Stop the DASH/JazzSM Server
        2.) Open a command prompt and navigate to the backup directory
            where the files were backed up, by the Interim Fix installer
        3.) Run the uninstall_IF.sh or uninstall_IF.bat script
        4.) Start the DASH/JazzSM Server
