IJ32667: OFFLINE FSCK WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REPAIR ALL CORRUPTIONS WHEN USING THE OPTION OF APPLYING PATCH FILE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Offline fsck will not be able to repair all corruptions when
  using the option of applying patch file
  ((i.e mmfsck FSchk -v --patch-file path-towrite-patchfile
  --patch)
  to repair the corruptions
  When repairing corruption by applying patch file the
  fsck output would show the below messages
  indicating the issue:
  ----------------
  Invalid BlockType Inode.
  Skipping patch.
  ---------------
  

Local fix

• Run fsck repair with the regular
  option -y to fix the corruptions.
